"Red, White, and Blackie..."

http://www.pcmodz.info/img/gallery/personal/777_completed.jpg

Current specs:
-Intel E7200 Core2Duo 2.53ghz, Coke shot to 3 ghz
-Asus P5KPL-C
-4gb OCZ Reaper 1066mhz ram
-160 Seagate 7200rpm HDD
-640 Western Digital Caviar HDD
-1TB Western Digital Caviar HDD
-Inno3d GeForce GTX260 Core 216
-Hec 500watts psu
-Orion 500watts generic psu

A really good friend of mine, who's a fan of Pan de Siosa Peanut, made me realize that it's possible to do 2 mods at the same time. And since my current computer has been around for a year, I just thought that it needs a makeover.

Since my current mod project, aptly named "Violet Reaction", will cause me to do a makeover on my room(aside from the casing), I decided to go all the way.

I've now named this certain project "Red, White, and Blackie", coming from the fact that this old Core 2 Duo, will be coming from a black(and definitely generic) Orion case. Also, since most filipinos in the province often name their dogs "Blackie"(regardless if its even the dog's actual color), eh tangina... I'll use this name as well. Besides, I went for a Black, Red, and White motif.

[Gawd... I usually mention "makeover" and "motif" like I'm from Queer Eye for the Straight ****]

Ok, thanks to Violet, my funding is running a bit low, so this particular mod aint really gonna be a "mod"... it's a scratch build. And its not that I hate trees, but I went for one of the cheapest materials around... PAPER PRODUCTS.

No, it wont be made of paper, just somewhat like it. I'm constructing this with 5% Bainbridge Cold Press Illustration boards, 5% BestBuy illustration boards, 5% transparent acrylic panels, 10 percent aluminum, and 75% FOAM BOARDS. Probably unwise right? But then, I plan to let everyone know that it's worth the time. And funny, TIME isnt a luxury that I have. I really want to finish this build in time for Violet's unveiling for my Finals project in school. So wish me luck, or a miracle.

This is my current control center. Yes, I know... it aint much, and it's real messy, but that will soon change. That red, green, and yellow thing that's glowing on top of the monitor is an amplifier, making it possible to use.......

.... the Sony speakers that used to be hooked up to my Dad's stereo component. He gave us the component, but nobody here uses it. So I decided to use the speakers on my pc instead. Now I've got myself a 5.1 setup. hehehe. That's Blackie right next to the sub.

Where most of my planning, cutting, and soldering happens.

Preparing the fans, and trying to assess how many I'll be using for this build. Researched on foam board's material-reaction in relation to heat. And you know what dumb Filipino celebrities usually say... "you can never have too many fans."

I have some use for this old Intel heatsink fan.
